Exemption de visa

The Vietnamese government has decided to extend the visa exemption until June 30, 2018 for French, German, British, Spanish and Italian nationals for stays of up to 15 days (14 nights) without distinction of passport categories and grounds Of entry into Vietnam. Passports must be valid at least 6 months after the return date and a single entry without a visa will be possible within 30 days.

The visa is therefore still mandatory for:

· Stays over 14 nights

· Multiple entry stays

For double entry, passengers can benefit from the visa waiver on one of the two entrances. The visa will be required for the other entry.

Opening of a new direct route Nha Trang to Moscow non stop !

Starting on April 5th 2013, Vietnam Airlines launches a new direct flight from Nha Trang to Moscow, operated with a wide body aircraft Boeing 777. This is a big challenge for the national airline of Vietnam.

Direct charter flights are already operated by Russian carrier Norwind Airlines linking Novossibirsk and Vladivostok to Nha Trang on a seasonal basis. This comes in addition to international flights operated by Asiana from South Korea and formerly, russian charter carrier Orenair.

The Femina prize has been granted to Patrick Deville for his book "Pesta and cholera", published in September 2012. This litterarure work tells the true story of Alexandre Yersin in a astonishing way, based upon archives, letters from Yersin and his fellow colleagues from the Pasteur Institute as well as his own family. If you chill out in Ha Noi, Sai Gon or nearly any place in Viet Nam, you will notice that all street names sound Vietnamese as they are mainly called after war heroes...with two exceptions : Yersin and Pasteur have their name street plates of the main Vietnmese cities and of course, in Nha Trang, these streets are located right at the corner of...the Pasteur Institute.
